anyone seen these rear louvers yet
I wonder what kind of plastic. I wouldn't want plastic that bows in the sun or if left black turns milky. Also is it heavy plastic that is ridgid or vacuum molded that if you push down on the louver it easily bows?
I am still undecided about the rear louvers especially with the factory spoiler. I would like to see a side picture. The louvers with the ducktale spoiler looks very good.
I wonder about that plastic, did you see their side-louvers, said they needed to be painted so they dont fade. So are the rear louvers made of the same plastic?
They arent bad looking but the do look "plastic", if you know what I mean.
Nice find though.

Heres what the site says,
# Easy to install
# Made of durable ABS plastic
# Easy removal for fast window cleaning
# Rattle free construction
# Adds privacy
# Shades and cools vehicle interior
# Reduces headlight glare
# Blocks damaging rays from the sun and protects vehicle upholstery
# Installs with 3M brand foam adhesive tape
# Textured Finish, Paintable
First it says easy removal for window cleaning, then it says installs with 3M foam adhesive tape. Does that mean you have to replace the tape everytime or does the tape attach to a removable brackett?

Called the company and here is the deal on the louvers.
They are attached with 3m tape and YES you would have to reattach the louvers with 3m tape again if you remove them to clean the window.
The only other option is if you go back to the old ways that the louvers were put on with the latch system, but that means drilling into the car.(ouch!).

Ugh....I really hope noone installs those on their '05. Just because they are "retro" doesn't change the fact that they are ugly as sin.
Some things go out of style for a reason.

I emailed those guys just see how it attached. They told me the louver frame attaches to the back glass with 3M tape, the louver is attached naturally to the frame. Some of the louvers were hinged for access to cleaning the glass. Just a little info.
Edit: should have read all the posts before posting myself

Fortunately your opinion is just that... your opinion. To some of us it looks cool, retro, and adds character (though I really wonder if it would look better painted to match the car).
