Anyone running Nitto 295 45 18's out back?

ford4v429 (Tim) and Poco (Pat), thanks for the compliments - I really appreciate it And Silver2006GT (Jimmy) is correct - Nittos do run a tad narrower than other brands of the same size. I remember seeing other brands of 285/40/18 tires on the same wheels I have and they looked wider. But if you're looking for that old school look with width and height (and don't mind giving up a little bit of gear ratio), the 295/45/18 is the way to go!

295's on 18x10's
I finally had a chance to post pics of the Nitto 555's 295/45/18's on my new 18x10's.I did install a complete set of Nittos front and rear.I'm not sure about the Steeda street wing,I may go back to stock spoiler.

I'm not a fan of spoilers but I actually like that Street Wing better than the stock spoiler. Go figure.

I am not a fan of 'wings' on the stang but (A) the low Steeda wing works for me on SOME stangs, and (B) your car is one of those - I think that looks pretty darn good!

The car is lowered with Steeda Sports coils,1 1/4" low on all fours.the spring rate is very close to stock and no camber bolts were needed. The taller 295 tire lifted the car 3/4" back up.
Thanks all! The larger side wall on the rear tires smoothed the ride out a lot.

that there is another perfect stance makes me want the same even more...whose springs are you running- same as MTAS?
Ive still been thiking about the DD bullitt wheels- I kinda like the painted centers more than chrome, and seeing your grabber orange car- had to ask if you recall the Tasca 'superboss 429'...it was a orang-ish color with a 494 canam magnesium boss 429 variant that tore up the strips back in 69~70...anyway it had centers painted body color and really looked cool...especially on the orange think that could be a cool option to consider. If I ever do get these wheels on mine, 99% sure the centers will be painted bodycolor, although the vistablue wont 'pop' like orange would against the polished lip...
cool looking car man!

Thanks 429,
Color matched centers on 5 spokes wheel is an old school trick that still looks good.Just go for it! You gotta be you and your car has to be what you want. There were some very cool drag cars back in the sixties the factory sponsered and they all had some type of corparate scheme.
I get the rest of my body kit stuff finished tomarrow and the paint matched up really close. It should be back together by Saturday.I took off the Steeda spoiler and it cleaned up the lines a lot better with the stock unit.
The coils I used were the Steeda Sports and only dropped the car 1 1/4" but the taller tire gave the car a nice rake.My ride also smoothed out with the taller tire.Pat
