Anyone know how to contact Trufiber?
I ordered a hood from them back in December. I didn't get the hood until the middle or end of February. I just got the hood put on and painted and the place where the hood attaches to the struts are not even. I had the guy who painted it try to play with it but there is still a significant gap on the left side fender from the right side. I tried to get to their website but nothing comes up. I am not usually a complainer and I know that some are going to say that its already painted and there's nothing that can be done, but its not like the hood can be salvaged even if it wasn't painted. I feel like a company would respect that if they stand behind their product. If anyone has any info on contacting them I would appreciate it.
What hood did you order?
The body shop should have test fit the hood prior to paint. I dont think they will replace your hood if you already have the work done with the hood. Give it a try tho...
good luck..

Their website goes down or is super slow quite a bit but so does this one from time to time.
Since the hood is completed you can also try loosening the fender bolts and moving the fenders side to side to help close or even out the gap. Granted you shouldn't have to do that on a new car but it should help. Just be sure to watch your door gap and how parallel to the door the fender is.
Good Luck

Three 10mm bolts on ea fender can be loosened and the fender repositioned to help align the gap. Even height issues can be fixed w/ shims between the fender and apron. Not as ideal as a perfect hood, but it's a suggestion for a solution. Additionally, try taking out the foremost bolts on the upper hood hinge and loosening the rear ones to 'square the hood if necessary, then re-tighten the rears before putting the front bolts back in. My thoughts are it's probably easier to make minor adjustments to your car to fit the hood than it will be to ship a hood, re-work it, and hope that the replacement hood is a better fit. Do you have any pics?
Thanks for the info and adjustment tips. Unfortunately, my digital camera is broken and I can not take any pics. And to answer the question about the painter he was a personal friend that painted it for me he has a paint booth off his garage. The quality was excellent on the paint but he should have checked it first.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that has had trouble with Trufiber. I wish that everyone that has had trouble with them would contact the Federal Trade Center @ 877-382-4357. They won't investigate individual complaints but if enough complaints are done they will do a class action suite against them. I just had my hood put on my car so no problems yet but they didn't send me the hood pin kit I ordered & refuses to do so even after it's been paid for.
