Anyone install vinyl stripes?

So I'm interested in putting some stripes on my recently purchased 08 GT. I really can't afford $1000+ to paint on stripes so I'm looking for alternatives. I found some vinyl stripes offered from american muscle. Price is good and seems like they are pretty good stripes. Only thing that worries me is installing them. Ford dealer quoted about $500 for installation. Can anyone comment on the quality or possibly installation of stripes of this sort. Heres a link to the stripes:

And heres a picture of my car. I think the silver would like real good, and I would definitely like to go all the way down to the bottom. How it should be done.

I've done them twice. If you take your time you can do it yourself. AM sells good stuff and has good customer service. Your link doesn't work though. Silver or white would look good.

OP corrected with correct link. But yeah, these just seem like such a good price for a great look in the end. I've heard having a heat gun works with getting bubbles out. The only that worries me is cutting the holes out for the windshield washer nozzles and installing on the spoiler.

actually those would be harder to install. I would use ones made for the 05-09 only. They are precut for the bumpers which is hardest to do.

Dude check with a local body shop before you sign over a weeks pay to Ford. The guy down the street from my house wanted $150 for Lemans AND rocker stripes... $500 is ridiculous, I woulda punched the guy at Ford straight in the face. I mean the "installation difficulty level" on AM is "easy" for crying out loud...

I have to disagree with AM, this is not an easy job. It's very time consuming and to make it look good pretty hard.

That's what worries me. I have no experience with something like this. But what exactly is tough about the job? Cutting the stripes to fit the car or getting them on straight with no bubbles.

I will probably contact a local body shop about it first and hopefully they offer prices similar to whats been stated in this post.

The curves of the bumpers is the hardest past. Are you in a local club? Ask if any one would help with the install.
