Don't get me wrong, I love the stripes. But after being awestruck by seeing the upcoming Shelby Cobra GT500. I have lost my enthusiam and can't help feel that if I striped mine, it would just be a pale imitation. Sort of like putting Cobra badges on a non SVT 'stang.

Has any previous GT version had those sort of racing stripes before?

 

I think more folks will be concerned about the front end. Without GT fogs, it looks like a v6 on steroids. Hate the color scheme of the one in the picture too.

 

I think it all depends on the color of stripes.

I am not one for the "hey look at me" red-and-white combo, but black with silver stipes still looks amazing. As does the silver/gray combos.

For me the more subtle stripes are perfect.

 

I have no problems with the stripes. Just because they are on the Cobra doesn't mean we are trying to mimic it. Remember, they were on the concept car which was a GT, not a Cobra.

 

I also have no problem with the stripes. I will still be getting mine painted on in August. Stripes don't make a car.

 

I don't see any problems with it either.
