Anyone have this rim setup? 18x8.5 ...

I need some help on deciding which rims

Im thinking of these with 275/40/18 rear and 255/40/18 front.

Question is.. with the 50mm offset on these wheels, will they line up nicely with the rear fender or will it look too narrow OR maybe stick out past the fenders? Anyone with pics of 50mm offset wheels running these sizes please put your .02 and maybe a pic or two

275/40s are not a recommended fitment for 8.5 inch wheels. I've been fighting this battle myself -- I like my wheels -- but want some wider rubber. Best choices seem to be in the 255/45/18 size -- although a 275/45 is an acceptable (but taller) fit. Some on this forum have discouraged me from the 275/45's. my .02.

I ran the black FRPP Bullitts on on my 06'GT with the stock tire size.Even that didn't look bad.The wider tires should fill in nicely. As mention the 255/45's would fit really good on that size rim.

You could give those Chrome FRPP Bullitts to a good, loving home. Say............ me for instance. Seriously though, shoot me a pm and we can discuss. I don't want to hijack someone elses' thread.

No spacers...stock wheel size 50mm offset. The car was lowered with a FRPP handling pack is all.

Check with 05stangkc on the O.E.M. market place forum on this site for the best price on the 18.5 Bullitts.Instead of the dark gray 08+ Bullitts the lighter color anthracite Bullitts are around $400.00 less.

I used to have the 18x8.5" FRPP black Bullitts (http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=8977) with 255/45/18 tires all around. The offset was 50 mm. Here's a pic from back then:

Are these the same 18" polished aluminum wheels that you can upgrade to on the GT or are the 18" FRPP rims a different size than the 18" factory rims?

The polish rims found on some factory cars are the same as the FRPP chrome bullitt.

That chrome finish is really nice. I've seen a couple of sets installed on some the forum rides and they really stand out.
