Anyone ever seen this done before? Opinions?

Okay, so I'm changing out my pony package grille to a GT grille with fog lights, but I wanted to do something I've never seen before on an S197...

I was thinking about buying the GT grille with the pony delete and then buying the tri-bar pony grille badge and placing it in the center of the two fog lights. Then I would black out the fog lights and it would kind of look like a BOSS 302 grille.

Has anyone ever seen this done before? Opinions?

I would go for the fogs behind the black grill. Probably put the emblem on the left lower corner. Just my suggestion.

I have been looking for a pony-less GT grill forever. Can't find one.

Shouldn't be a problem at all. I installed a SS v6 conversion grille b/c I liked the GT-style placement of the fogs, but it was pony-less and I wanted one, so I just bought the pony (or did I pull it out of a GT grille? I forget) and bought a couple of big washers from Home Depot. Slide the posts through grille, secure washers & nuts, done.

Lol I have no idea... I found a better way of doing it ... Go to ace hardware... They have a ton of different types of mesh to throw behind the fogs... I found a plastic mesh that would look fantastic painted flat black...

It's a Street Scene GT-style grille. Don't recall where I got it, but don't get it here for $300! I think I paid $150 and had to repaint it b/c it flaked off b/c it doesn't look like they used any primer!
