Well, my car FINALLY goes to the painter next week. I am sitting here beating myself over and over trying to decide whether or not to get the spoiler swapped for one of the spoiler mods. I know it's a preference... Does anyone actually leave the stock spoiler on once they've decided to paint on stripes?? I figure if I want to do the spoiler thing I should do it now and not later...

Help!

Joe

I kept my stock spoiler, and I plan on keeping it, and I've stripped mine with the vinyl.

I'm keeping the stock on mine, actually prefer it over some of the aftermarket ones myself. Have it striped just like the car

Thanks for the replies. I actually really like the new generation spoiler ... I was just wondering if I was alone. I was worried I'd be the only person out there with one on a nicely striped car!

I like the S197 rear spoiler and am going to keep it. I have Lemans stripes on my car and plan on repainting the entire spoiler Matte-Black like many were on the original Mach-1 / Boss cars..

I left the spoiler on when I painted my stripes. I think the look is more aggressive with the stock spoiler.

Check my signature for pics.

I had my cars stripes painted and I have a stock spoiler. They actually took it off to paint it. I would like to eventually get a ducktail spoiler though.

I think if you plan on striping the car you definitely stripe the spoiler.

I spent some time looking at pictures of the 1969 Mach 1's and found an excellent picture of a blue one. I knew our cars were patterned off of the Mach 1, but I didn't realize just how close they really are! Very similar in many ways, especially things like that spoiler...

I'm sold. I knew there was a reason I liked that spoiler!
