I have always loved that hood and look/functionality of louvered hoods too but could never find one or something close to it. I have spoken to Tiger Racing and they said they are currently in development of a louvered hood like the ones used on the previous race cars they have built. Let me know if you find anything. Thanks.

I was looking at the hood on the Griggs Racing demo car and i fell in love with the hood but like this one it was a one off part and no one intends on mass producing the hood.

I'm thinking someone has to have a template somewhere or know something at-least.

Are you referring to this one?

I have a question about that hood though.... Would it be a problem w/ rain considering the intake is close to the driver side louvers???? I don't know maybe not...

I believe that is similar to the hood Tiger racing is developing. They are based I believe in West Covina Ca. Let's all email them so they can release this faster. It was supposed to be done last month but they are still proto-typing. A other hood that was awesome was on the Speed GT ACS Mustang Cobra. Not the current one with the 2010 body style but the previous one which had the 07-09 GT 500 body style. Man that car was sex on wheels with it's in my opinion perfect tooling of a wide body on a S197. I also contacted them about the hood but never received a response. Keep me posted.

Talked to Michael Guttilla at Multimatic structure and he gave a reference to someone that actually worked on the FR500GT. I’m going to try to get in contact with them tomorrow when I have more time, if they get back to me I’ll post my findings.

There’s really no info out there or specs. I would be more worried about the alternator than the intake since that part can’t be re-routed.

I believe Chinace23 sells that hood possibly in collaboration. I remember tiger racing having a hood styled the same for the SN95 and New Edge. I'm not really interested in this one.

Here’s a picture for the S197:
