Anybody do a all black GT500 nose conversion?

Hey All! New to the forums here. Must say this is a great site for the 197's!

I have an all black 06 that I am getting ready to pull the trigger on the GT500 conversion for the front end and wanted to see what it would look like on an all black car. I have no intentions on painting any stripes or using Cobra badges (not that I have anything against it or anything, I just try to go with the subtle things) so I was just wondering if anyone had done this mod in all black. If so, could you please post pics? Thanks.

I've got the GT500 splitter. I know it's not exactly what you're looking for, but from a price/work aspect you can't beat it. Plus, it shows you what a black GT looks like with GT500 wheels, so that you can get a good idea of what exactly the front end conversion "accomplishes" visually. It's more of an apples to apples this way.

Here's my thread with many more pics and a write-up on it (and it's only 3 pages, with page 1 and 3 having the pics):

BTW, to save you the hassle of going through 12 pages on the other thread, the pics you are interested in are on page 7. (I wanted to see what it looked like too)

Thanks for the quick response all. That was exactly what I was looking for. Although, now I am not sure. I am not sure how I feel about the all black. Maybe it's the center pony I'm not wild about. Darn the dilemma.

I was thinking the same thing: the center pony looks nice, but it reminds me more of a v6. And the post above with nothing looks too "plain".

Maybe a running horse emblem with the tri-stripes (ie-V6 pony package style) off to the side where the cobra would be will be a nice compromise?

Looking sharp there MellowYellow06. I would have gotten a yellow Mustang if the dealer had one on the lot.

Question how did you attach your emblem. Did you just stick it to the grille using the adhesive backing or is it attached some other way? I grinded the tabs off the back and just stuck it to the grille. It's holding up for now but wish I had a more "secure" method.
