I am contemplating taking off my spoiler in the future when I have my rally stripes painted on my car. I'm curious to know if anyone who has a GT w/out a spoiler and has put stripes on their car? And if so, do you have any pics of the rear? I did a search and couldn't find any pics. I am specifically looking for a MG car with black stripes but any color car/stripes will do. Thanks in advance.

Zach, I appreciate the link... but I am really looking for pics of a striped '05 without a spoiler. If you find any, please post.

Thanks a lot, Steve. What is everyone's opinion on striped w/out spoiler vs. with the spoiler?

I would definitely go without spoiler, and add the stipes.

I like it. Personally I'm going with the stripes and the spoiler, however I think the stripes look good without the spoiler too. If I was going without a spoiler, I'd definately have stripes over the plain rear end. Thats my opinion.

It's your decision for your car, you are going to be the one who looks at it the most. You can't really mess up the 05.

Looks better w/o spoiler & w/ stripes. IMO.
That's what I'll be doing, IF my car ever gets here.

I don't know, I think I like the stock spoiler better than no spoiler at all..JMO, but either way they still look good.
I think if you put on a good looking aftermarket spoiler once they are abundantly available, and the prices go down, you could find one like the older Shelby style spoilers. I was under the impression you wanted yours to look like a modernized Shelby.
The Roush wing is about the closest I've been able to find, other than the Classic Design Concepts "duck tail" wing to the Shelby style from the 60's.

Are you sure your not thinking of Saleen.
I've never seen a spoiler on a Shelby that looks anything at all like that hideous thing.

I don't know, but it looks good to me. JMO. You named your car Jessica?

I'd say keep the spoiler and paint on the stripes. It will look fine without it though if you decided to go that route. Your car looks good Ian w/ the spoiler.

Thanks Dan, and everyone for the input. I think I will leave it on, just because it will be cheaper than having them repaint the entire decklid. I really like the spoiler (hence why I got it in the first place) but think it may look out of place on my "Shelby" Mustang. I'm gonna keep the spoiler though for now. Maybe one day when I get my '65 fastback and fix it up to resemble a Shelby (stripes & hood scoop) I'll take the spoiler off.
