I might just have to get these to see what they would look like. Since I have taken the front end of my car apart a few times now it shouldn't be too difficult.

 

Did you say you had the HIDs as well? BTW I do like the look and it appears as if the halos give off a lot of light when they're the only ones on.

 

Ryan-- The fact that these halo lights do not come with instructions has been a red flag to me. But, if you (and your buddy) made them work without much difficulty, that's good news.

John-- I just read your writeup on the Street Scene grille, good job.

 

Yeah that was kind of weird there were no directions. I just hope they don't crap out on me in the short run. I hope that my input has helped anyone interested in them.

 

I know this thread is old.
But can anyone please tell me what SIZE do I need to get for the main headlights?
I want to install some myself.


Is 140mm large enough or do I need bigger.


No one that Ive asked seems to give me a straight answer. And Ive ask plenty companies and people who install these for a living.

 

You want to just get the halos and not the whole headlight? Why not just get the headlight assembly with the angel eyes already built in?


Personally, I installed the halos with HIDs in a Dodge truck and when the headlights were on you couldn't even see the halo. Waste of money IMHO.

I thought about that, but I also want to add HIDs and some other lights in there.

The halos will run as DRLs and when you turn on the main headlight, these will turn off.

The halos have a separate wire (+/-) so you can wire them up to serve as DRLs if needed.

 

Yes except the link are for halos for fog lights which I am not after.
Not to worry I bought a pair from Oracle lighting.
Now only to save up to buy the HID lights.


Ill update my thread once everything is done. May take a few months!
