You have to take them completely off. They don't open like a hinge. Also, FYI, make sure you use silicone around the edges of the brackets. It's supposed to stop moisture from getting inside the glue. I did not see that buried in the directions and one of my brackets fell off

I got the Visus ones for $400, they are hinged. A bit expensive, but for me it was worth it because I wanted hinged ones.

Like your ride Shea. Have C-stripes, Visus/MRT louvers on mine also. Have to admit, I like the hinged ones.I end up having to clean the window after every bath

I like the Roush one too. It's physics 101 - what ever goes up must come down. (price)

They don't go all the way down the back window because of the way the trunk opens. It opens over the back window a bit...I wondered this myself before I installed em.

and BTW, everyone squaks about them not being hinged, but anything with a hinge is going to a) have more parts to rattle b) have more parts to break. You can't beat these for the price!

$229 shipped!

and no, I do not work for amazon.com!

nice looking louvers. I got mine from Cervini and they are slightly different. They do not have rivets holding the blades to the ribs or exposed pins on the side runners. They are all heliarced then black anodized. They are about $425 now but the shipping is really cheap compared to the others "oversize shipping charges"In any case alum is the ONLY way to go......

By the way Cervinis do open. Two hinges at the top and 2 latches at the bottom. I made a prop for them to clean the back window out of a piece of 1 inch pine from Home Depot and dipped the ends in that "tool rubber dip" stuff

Now you guys are just making me mad. Not only have I paid too much for the Visus ones, I've been waiting two months for Shinoda to get them to me!

These are looking good on your cars and I don't think I would have minded saving the difference of $399 + shipping and $229 shipped free if all it takes is 4 screws and a minute or so to get at to clean.
