all black bullit wheels

Today I was driving around in Dallas and saw a black mustang GT with what looked like bullitt rims powdercoated ALL black, lip and everything. The kid driving it drove like a jackass to be honest and tried to race me when I pulled up next to him or at least got on the gas a whole lot!

I asked him what wheels he had because I couldn't get a good view and he told me about his tires, then drove off. Has anyone seen or have any pics of the stock bullitts powdercoated all black(lips included)? It looked sick as hell on his car. I found the thread with the terminator cobra with the all black bullits but the s197 stock bullitts look slightly different in shape. Thanks in advance.

Mike

Haven't seen all blacks in person but it's something I've considered for my own Bullitts.

I think it would definitely look good.

Thanks, I could never get a good look at them but I do know they were the stock style (17 inch bullitt) The looked slightly deeper dished than the stock(but not the deep dish) As if he had gotten aftermarket 17's and had them fully powdercoated matte or sating black, or painted. I have emailed a couple of local places to find out a price for this service.

+1. Several have done this and it doesn't look bad if done right.

This is what I mean by all black bullitts, it looks like this person painted them as it seems the outside portion of the lip, where it meets the bead is still silver. I know most may not like this look but I think it looks really good. Any s197 with bullits painted like this anywhere?

Thanks again

I haven't seen the bullits on a S197 done that way but I have seen the concept wheels done that way.

I think they are just the 17 inch upgrade wheels for the GT, they have a resemblance to the 05 concept car, just not 20s or as cool looking.

thas is what I am thinking too, I am just curious if anyone has seen or has a pic of them on an S197. I love flat/matte/satin black wheels better than the gloss black the is made and sold. I think I may just order some and do that, I emailed a powdercoating place in Dallas to get a quote.

Black fanblades

Well, the fanblades are a similiar design, so I figured I'd post up some pics of them powdercoated in gloss black with a coat of clear on top...

You could always go with black chrome rims as well. They are all black, including the lip, but obviously they have more shine to them the rims in the pictures.
