The top piece did not have 3m tape on it. You can see the first pics I posted... There are just 5 screw points. The shop said that after they did the required modifications (cutting out the lower grill) they noticed that the top even when screwed in, continued to sag. The only remedy was to use more adhesion. I have the leftover paint and may just end up getting a fine brush and trying to cover it up.

BTW CDC doesn't take things back after 14 days. And I bought this through a thrid party.

 

I checked the instructions on CDC's site after seeing your pics and it looked like they had 3M tape on that upper part. I would consider getting some 3M tape, unscrewing it and adding the 3M tape to the top. I bet it would look good if you do that.
