Agent47 Lower Grill is a nice accent

Just installed the Agent 47 lower grill. I didn't see too many pics of it on an otherwise stock looking car (i.e. stock upper grill and no front splitters/spoiler) so I thought I'd offer up a few. It's a great subtle accent that keeps the car looking mostly stock but makes it just a little more aggressive.

It has an aggressive appeal to it, that's for sure! Nice addition.

I'm really not feeling it. It looks like its not placed right on the front end. If they had it recessed a bit it would look 100% better. I've seen a few pics and they all look like that unfortunately. Compare the photoshop I did on the driver vent to the passenger. If they could have done something like this it would flow with the front more and not look bulky.

My thoughts exactly. As much as I want to like it, it just isn't recessed enough. Had SHR built this, it'd be recessed just like the stock piece. Maybe it looks different in person. In pictures, they always look like they're half falling out.

There is a specific function to it, above the cosmetic look. Are you planning on installing the Agent 47 companion front brake cooling duct kit that goes with it? Sometimes we settle for less than perfect looks if the functional benefit is a major gain.

even if there is a specific function to it, i dont think it is necessary for it to look like it is going to fall out. what sort of gains could it possibly have by sticking out that extra 1/2 inch or so. i like the idea, just not the way it was made.

like darkfiregt said, if shr had done it, they would have done it right!

deric, love that photoshop. THAT is what it should have looked like.

+1 If it was completley recessed like the stock grill I'd have bought one already. That seems to be a problem with alot of their products. I know they're intended for the "hardcore" track guys but seriously what percentage of the mustang community really needs vortex generators, naca ducts?

I think if they asked for some public opinion during their intial phases of their product design they'd be more well recieved.

Very nice idea!

However, I do agree that it needs to be recessed. It kinda looks like it is glued on. I dont think that the ducts being functional is an excuse for its fitment problem.

+1 I agree, too bad it's not flush. It still looks good, nicely done

I do think it looks different in person.. that why I tried my best to take a few pictures from different angles. It was a little gamble buying it but all I knew is that I've always disliked the stock lower grill and this was the best thing I've seen to replace it. My guess is that it sticks out for two reasons (although I don't know for sure): 1) the aggressive look, 2) to be able to fit a usable intake design into the pre-existing opening without having to modify your the bumper cover.

In person, I'd say that most wouldn't even notice that the lower grill was changed out until someone pointed it out (your eyes don't naturally gravitate to the lower grill). So making it a little extra aggressive really wasn't a bad thing and I'm now glad it is that way. I really like it and think it looks better in person then the few pictures of it I was able to find.

I haven't purchased the rest of the brake cooling kit yet. I'd like to just so that I can tell folks that "it's functional" but that would make the whole kit really expensive for a "function" that I'm really never going to use (I don't race). IMO, this mod is really expensive for what you get but it was well worth it to me b/c I really really disliked the stock lower grill.

Looks sweet! I may have to go this route; I'm slowly losing confidence that my Saleen PJ / Heritage front fascia will ever arrive.

Here's a pic of mine painted body color. When I ordered it I didn't notice the part that sticks out and when I received it I too wished it had been flush. But once I got it painted and installed , I don't notice it so much and I like the way it turned out ...

I like it. It's a little too pricey for me being that it's hardly noticeable and pretty subtle. I'd consider a second hand one though if I see one...

Looks like you could shave it down so that it would be flush before the install. Otherwise I really dig it.

If it fit better, I'd buy it.

Too bad the lower grill isn't functional, looks like you could have two very loud rectangular fog horns.
Would come in handy when passing up ricers!

The lower grill is fuctional. It connects to the brake cooling kit that they sell.
