Is it just me or does the angle on the back of the spoiler looks like a Bobby Brown flattop haircut from the 90's

The term "rice" does seem to get thrown around way too much.

This is rice

The guy is so worried about looking like other cars, he forgot he would need to be able to steer his ride.

This is NOT rice

ok, I'll agree with pic 1 and 2, but as to pic 3 - well the spoiler looks fine without the ugly tacked on cut-offs, but the wheel clearences look to have too much in common with pic 1.

And the tacked on ugly is what I have issue with, yes the base part of spoiler looks a lot like the shelby, which is ok looks wise, I suppose - no spoliers or handle bars for me thanks.

But, I still have issue with the down force. Again - how much down force is exerted by any of these spoilers at 60 to 90 mph? Or at 120? It doesn't look like any spoiler champions can answer the question. So, if you don't know the performance increase and you add it anyway... Hmmm.

Can anyone please pass me the chopsticks!

I replaced the stocker with the GT500 for looks alone...a new lid was $270 w/o shipping (say another $30 for shipping), and the stealership wanted $320 for paint/install, so instead of the $600, I spent $216 for the OEM Ford GT 500 spoiler, and $130 for the stealership to paint it, and it took 45 minutes to install...but aside from the xtra $$, my wife objected to the idea of no spoiler...here are the pics taken a couple of hours ago..

Oops sorry, can't upload pics again for some reason.....

Ok, I'll take back some of what I said (chopsticks).

I guess I'm good with looks alone for the Shelby spolier (not my thing, but it is much better than the GT spoiler).

I'd still really like to know how much downforce and the impact of that downforce. That is, say if it's 100 lbs at 90 mph, then you get X.XX more g's

Love the "stealership" thing.

I like that spoiler sans little flaps. My stock spoiler is due to come off in the near future to be replaced by a Shelby spoiler as well.
I really had to laugh about the "stealership" thing also I just had my TPMS bands replaced for different rims....total $240.+ OUCH

The "stealership" isn't a term I coined...I think I read it on a post in the S197forum.com site...but it made so much sense that I adopted it for futher use and dissemination!

Rear wing is a looks mod only.

I have the GT500 spoiler, (installed in January) I bought it for LOOKS *not* "down-force" I recognize that IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING other than change the look of the rear of the car (IMHO for the better).

I am NOT going to tack on some phoney wiper blades on my GT500 spoiler for some fictional downforce any more than I would paint my car yellow, install a fart can, or plaster it with phoney NOSSS stickers.

So I still stand by my original statement that the tacked on ice-scrapers on the rear wing is RICE.

As gmichael says, Pass the chopsticks!!!

i think this is the funnyest, most fitting comment on the Agent 47 spoiler...and I'm sorry if this is a polarizing comment, but after looking at how well my GT500 fits with the car, I agree the Agent 47 winglets are ricey. By itself it would be a pretty good looking spoiler...I guess this is one of those cases where less is more, because those "ricelets" just take a huge on the spoiler.
