Agent 47 Mirrors on my car: yea or nay?
Agent 47 Mirrors on my car: yea or nay?
I've been going back and forth regarding whether to switch to Agent 47 mirrors on my car for the better part of a year. I'm currently running the factory mirrors with color matched caps, which I'm actually pretty happy with, but then I see pics of the Agent 47 pieces and thing "Hmmmm...maybe that would be better..."
This is my car as it currently stands:

If I do go with the new mirrors, the paint pattern would be like this (with the mounting area black/mirrors body color):

Please bear in mind, I'm seeking a consensus on whether it would be an improvement on my car specifically looks-wise.

the a47 mirrors are definitely the better choice. they're made to match the car perfectly, unlike the stock mirrors, which look more like an afterthought on fords part. the covers make them look much better, but the size and shape still scream ford ranger.
if you want another option, take a look at the 2010 mirrors. they're a similar shape, but much more appropriately sized. afaik, no one's done the conversion yet, so you'd be breaking some ground. they should plug right in and bolt right up.

And there's that 5% discount going on at a certain site that paints them just the way you like too
BFRI09 in checkout valid through next weekend. If you do two-tone though, you have to call it in Mon-Wed (we're closed for Thanksgiving), our website currently doesn't have it as an option, since there's a couple ways to achieve it depending upon how detailed you'd like the finished part to be.

Whether I went with pre-painted, or decided to tackle the paint myself, SHR would be the vendor of choice. (Always had the best quality service from them)

Either stock mirrors w/ no paint, or A47 painted as Darkfire's. I keep mine non painted for now, maybe A47's in the future. If you're going to draw your eye to the mirrors, make them the best looking mirrors on the market.
Marcello got mine done for me. I can't stand the stock mirrors after having the Agent 47's. They just fit the body style a million times better. Two-Tone, especially with your current mods, on TR is DEFINITELY the way to go.

When you guy's are talking two toned do you mean that the part that attached to the car remains black and the mirror is colored matched? It looks like that's what I see from the picture. I have kind or gone back and forth on this but the black and MG would probably look pretty good on my car since I have alot of black accents.
WOW! $395 painted and even more for the two tone.
Sorry I would to pass on that but it looks great for you guys that decide to go this route.

Exactly. Two tone, the mirror head housing gets painted body color, and the "arm" and triangular part that mounts to the door gets painted black.
you must have seen those pics of that blue stang on that other site lol. I like them from some angles but from others they just don't look right sort of look like they are floating in space, why i've been going back and forth on if i should do this mod. I think they look really good on the blue stangs, but they don't beat pascals early model mustang mirrors.

If you want the black section sanded to eliminate the mold split line and painted satin black, then yes, the second color is an additional 125.00
If you don't mind the mold split line and want to leave it as molded (black) then no, there's no additional cost to mask it off and leave it alone.
I vote for A47...I like mine, may paint mine TL someday...but they have been unpainted for 3 years now...Just wish someone had come out with a better mirror option for the Fox...cant stand those tiiny little things.
