Hey Jeff, I got a question for ya. Did you take any pictures of the install? I ask, as I have a set as well that was given to me. The instructions state that I have to take the 3 plastic mounting studs off of the stock mirror, epoxy them (or super glue them) to the new mirror, install the motor, connect the wire, and button them up. The only thing I worry is, if I have to use a permanent adhesive for the 47's, I'm guessing I could never go back to stock if I wanted to? You can't get the studs from Ford parts. Have to get the whole housing, and that isn't cheap. Let me know. Thanks bud.
Oh, sweet look BTW. For mine, I'm thinking of just leaving them matte black (if I do install them).

No you should not need to glue anything. There are 3 bolts on the stock
mirrors that screw out and you install those 3 bolts on to the Agent 47
mirrors and yes you take your stock motors out and install them in the
new mirrors.
It's not hard to do at all. Most things on my car I have done by a pro
I installed these myself and took maybe 1 hr. total at most.

you do not need any glue, the studs you reuse screw in and out.
Just leaving the triangle black but painting the connecting post vehicle color would make me think that they would appear "floating" above the car. The only other option I have thought of is to paint a connection "stripe" straight down toward the door, on the triangle part to "connect" it, and that may look lame... I have even done some photoshops to see if the top part of the triangle (stopping along the line of the post) could be painted black and tapered down to the front triangle point... still not sure if it would look decent. Any other ideas?I guess if I had bought a black pony, it would not have been an issue...
I love the design and agree they are such an improvement over stock. The Midwest Mirror Covers help the stockers but they still don't look retro like those do... Looks great Jeff
