Aftermarket hood?

Someone who knows more can help me out . . .

Did the original Bullitt have the hood with the turn signal cut outs? Anyone know if a company makes working or non-working similar style hoods for the S197 bodies?

The original movie Bullitt had the twin-marker hood, which so many people mis-name the twin-vent hood. The hood was not a flow-thru design similar to the '03 & '04 Cobra hoods. As far as aftermarket hoods go, I'm sure someone has or is working on a similar design. Anyone?

Here's a hood I'm planning on going with. It looked like the best quality, price and didn't have the high rise in the mid section that most extractor hoods had. It was the closest I could find to the 67 & 68 hood.

I understand that Scott Hoag/ MRT is working on a Bullitt "Reload" package that will include a more traditional style Bulllitt hood, more power, suspension upgrades, etc, etc.

The 'Boy Racer' style hood is similar.

Thanks Michael,

Do you have a bigger picture of it so I can see the detail? From what I can see it looks good!

Talked to Scott last week. The body mods are about 10 weeks out. He has a suspension and new Hpipe ready. Call MRT and they will give you more specific info.

He also said he will be adding more go fast parts.

Since Scott is a true Bullitt man you can bet whatever he comes up with will be great!!

It'll be nice to see what Scott comes up with for the new Bullitt. The hoods shown here are definitely nice, but are not true to the '68 hood (maybe they're not supposed to be either). The '68 markers were not recessed too deep and I understand why the extractors are. This allows them to vent more air, so perhaps the new style hood is the way to go.
