Adding Interior Lights

Hey guys, one of the first things I remember wanting to mod on my stang was the interior lighting, or lack there of. It might be because of my heavy tint, but it doesn't seem like theres enough lighting in our stangs. Has anyone added extra lights or blue lights? I saw someone on here added some blue LEDs but the pictures were gone. I would love to add some blue LEDs to the interior and wire them into the dimmer like he did, but I would have no idea how to do it. So anyway, I guess I'm asking if anybody has added any kind of interior lighting and if so, pics, cost, color, so on

That was WatchDevil. he installed the Optix LED pod that's available from most parts stores. He also added Single LEDs in the cup holder and in the back of the console.

If you go this route you can also replace your green LEDs with blue ones too. See my signature with a link to the post.

Angelo, I did this mod and LOVE IT!! Really makes driving at night easier and honestly, less tiring, since the cabin isn't so dark now. This has to be one of the coolest, least expensive mods to do to the car. I highly recommend it to ANYONE!!

So do you drive with the dome light on to activate all the other lights?

No not at all. I tied into the wire that lights up the PRND321 shifter indicator bezel. It turns on and dims with the dash lights at night. It also functions the same way the interior lights do when you unlock and lock the car with the remote.

On manual transmission cars, the wire is there in the console in a connector that is unused.
