I want to put the GT grill and fog lights in my V6,can it be done.It looks like the grill will fit, just snap one out at the 9 clips and the GT one should go right in as far as I can see.Does anyone know if the light wiring is in the harness on a V6 but it does appear I will have to put in a new headlight switch.Has anyone tried this yet?My daughetr is getting me the new grill and lights for xmas.

Well,I got the GT grill and fog lights at the Ford dealer today and as I expected the GT grill will not fit a V6.Although the grills look identical the number of grill retainers and there location are not the same in both cars.I would have to replace the entire front bumper to make it fit.In case anyone was toying with the idea it apprears it won't work.Lights were $90.00 per light plus another $90.00 for the grill with no mounting hardware for the lights.I was really hoping that the grills would be interchangable.Hope Ford takes the parts will take the parts back.I guess if I wait long enough someone will come up with aftermarket lights.
This dealer had two 2005 GT Mustangs(used)that were bought at auction, one with 80 mile and the other with 550 miles. They were asking $33000.00 each. These were not fully loaded either, standard shift with leather interior.

I'm only so-so with the GT fog lights, but it would be cool to have something custom if I can do it right.

Alternatively you can consider buying a GT bumpercover as well, In my opinion it looks a bit better too.
And for those with V6's who haven't bought any part yet, give Saleen a call. If they're smart they sell complete GT takeoff sets: bumper cover, grill, foglights...

I pulled the grill out of my V6 this evening and tried to get the GT grill in but it wont fit.The GT grill looks pretty close but it is a inch wider and will not fit in the V6 openning. If you could swap out the bumper cover(if that fits a V6 without modifing it)you probably could make the swap work. There are no light connectors behind the grill either.Someone mentioned calling Saleen about getting everything from them, anyone have a number for them?
