A few weeks back I found out about that great sale price on the CDC Chip Foose Mach One style hood ( aluminum, $350 delivered !),and I decided to replace my fiberglass Fang Performance Hood. I had the 1970 style hood stripe, in silver, but with the change, I wanted, well, change. I decided to go with the '69 style blackout, which I haven't found pictures of on a black '05. Virgin territory as they say... Well,it's done, and I like it, thought I'd post pictures for the update( hopefully my picture posting skills have improved..)

Looks great. Where did you find that hood for $350 delivered? Ive looked at that hood and a few others but i think that one might be my favorite.

I ordered the one without the shaker hole, and had my bodyshop cut the hole to match the Fang Shaker location( which is a little further back than the CDC style shaker).

When you ordered yours did u get it pre painted? My stang is vista blue and im worrued about the paint matching.

 

They said that the pre-painted black hoods sold out first/fast. I got the unpainted one, and had a local shop do all the work. It seems like paint matching is an exact science now. I'd bet the prepainted ones match perfectly. Call them and ask .
BTW, they shipped the hood very quickly, maybe the same day I ordered it...

Looks awesome. I've got mine sitting in my garage just waiting for some more parts before I send it all out to be painted.

I too got it for $350 from CDC and had it shipped to a commercial terminal so there was no shipping charge.

I agree with DanG, this hood is worth every penny.

That looks great. The retro style Foose hood defintely gives a shaker an added extra appearence bonus.
