69 - 70 scoop on 06

Looking for anyone that has seen or installed one of these scoops on the 05-08? Would like to see a PIC and hear how hard it would be to do.

It's a toss up between this style scoop and the Roush one. I kinda like the idea of theses and getting the blinkers to work!

Any input?

I know CDC or www.classicdesignconcepts.com has something like this and it does have working turn signals. Or at least they did late last year, not on the site now that I have replied here. Sorry

I didn't like the CDC version of this scoop. I'm looking at the possibility of using an actual 69/70 scoop on the 06. Besides, it looks like CDC no longer offers this scoop.

Thanks.

I saw a S197 with one at a car show in the Summer. It fit well and looked very good.

Cervinis makes a replica specifically for the S197.

If I saw a pic of a car with the cervini's I might be inclined to pursue further. The above PIC looks like a rendering. I'm looking for PIC's using an actual 68CJ - 70 scoop as I have pictured.

I just may purchase one of these scoops and see what happens!

I found a picture of the car at the show with the original mach hood scoop. Here ya go, it is the only shot I have. He had the turn signal hooked up too.

Thanks for posting the PIC.

While it is hard to see, I do think I like it. I'm now on the hunt for this scoop and give it a try. I'm also thinking of painting it flat black.

We'll see how it turns out.

You can buy the scoop, grill insert, turn signals, and wiring through a variety of restoration companies (like National Parts Depot) for around $200.

I used a genuine 1969 Mach 1 hood scoop on my little 1975 Mach 1 way back when, and it looked really nice and fitting on that car. I've been seriously giving thought to installing one on my 07 GT.

Easy install: the factory used 8 bolts on the scoop, which were fastened under the hood by 8 nuts, so you'd have to drill 8 holes & wire up the turn signals.
