'68-style turn-signal hood for an '05-'07?

Anyone seen or heard of an aftermarket hood for the new Mustang GT that approximates the look and function of the louvered turn-signal indicator hoods that were available on '67-'68 Mustangs?

The 3dCarbon "Boy Racer" hood is pretty close in terms of appearance, but it does not have the indicator lights.

Having a modern version of the 67-68 deluxe turnsignal style hood would be a pretty awesome aftermarket piece.

Make the functional vent / turnsignals a separate piece like the originals, and update the horizontal grill to match the honeycomb pattern. I'd buy one right now if it were available.

The hood style pictured in Little Black Pony's post is the one I was thinking of, but the Cervini hood is an interesting possbility.

Looking at a picture of '05 in profile, it seems like it would be hard to see the turn signals in the vents if they were positioned at the front of the hood (as they are in the '67-'68 hood). The '05 hood drops off toward the front, so you'd have to flatten the hood or put in longer/deeper vents in order to see them.

That's funny. I had been looking at that one too recently. In fact, I did a not so hot job on Photoshop seeing what it would look like. This isn't the final version of the photo. You get the idea though. Sorry, only have it from the front!

Nice mock-up, AwakeInAZ. That's the hood I want!

I wonder how much interest we'd have to stir up to get a mfg to make "The RetroHood"? So far we it looks like we have 4 takers from this forum...

Actually, the M1 is styled after the 1969 hood scoop. I own an original 1967 mustang it does have turn signals, but they are in louvers that are further down the hood towards the nose.

I think it would look good. Now that I'm home, this is my final version. I would buy one in the $600 range!

What about taking the 3D Carbon Boy Racer Hood and adding
a little turn signal assembly to it? You could do an LED style
aluminum panel that plugs into the slot and then wire it into
the existing turn signal harness.
