I just caught this while browsing on Ebay. I'd like to see some more pics of this hood, but I think it looks pretty good from what's there: '68 Shelby style hood

I like it too, but it is non-functional and the seller admits that you need to trim the part to fit. To me if I am spending $850 bills on a non-functional hood it at least better fit out of the box and need very minor things like a shim on the hinge to make it flush. I think he keeps relisting the same hood because I never see any bids on it.

I agree the price is too high, but hopefully someone will do a similar functional hood with good fit/finish.

I e/m'd ramairhood.com with a link to that hood and asked them if they would consider making a hood like the one on ebay but already fitted and with functional inlets and vents. Their reply:

Well, that is at least hopeful!

In the meantime, I am holding out for an aluminum replacement hood with the inlets and extractors.

According to ramairhood's website, their hoods are made from OEM materials, not fiberglass.
