To you folks with 4" tips, regardless of the brand, would a 4.5" tip work back there with the cutout?

I dont see any reason why the 4.5" would not work. They will look rather large, but I will reserve me opinion until I see them on the car. Just make sure you leave room at the top where the bumper is, so the plastic bumper doesnt melt.

I think that if you put 4.5" tips on, and make sure to center them in the openings so that there is the same amount of room all the way around, you would be cutting it very close. You need at least half an inch between the tip and the car, and I barely have that with my 4" tips. Not to mention, I personally think 4.5" is just too big.

 

I have 4 inch tips and it has just about a half inch of space left in the opening so you would be cutting it really close and if it did fit then it would really fill up the opening and in my opinion wouldnt look right. The 4 inches is perfect.
