I'm looking for some pics and info of anyone with a 3d carbon hood, particularly on a black gt. Initial cost, cost to paint, fitment issues? Thanks ~Trent

 

Retail price is going to be listed at $850.

I talked to one of their reps via e-mail, looks like it'll by out by June.

 

I really like 3D's hood. Another thread someone said its not functional, any updates on functunality of it?

 

Good question, not really sure.

I know that with the new Cobra concept, they put those vents in the hood to negate pressure build up at high speeds. If nothing else, it'll be useful for that.

I sure hope it is.

 

Yeah its not functional, I read that also on another thread, although I heard rumors that they might be offering a functional version also

 

Spoke with Ernie from 3D on Friday...

They are working very long hours to get the kits out, and they should start shipping in a couple weeks.

I will be talking to him again, I will ask about the functionality of the hood.

 

The whole kit looks great, best out I think. I hope to get enough money to get one once the car arrives, any idea how the fender flares will be? Ie how far out.

 

I've put an order of that hood 2 weeks ago,from Crossraodzdirect...hope to receive it as soon as possible!!!
