This may be a question for Kevin Casey or another Ford insider or it may be way to early to even be asking this, But does anyone know if the new “power dome hood” for upcoming 2010 GT will fit on a 2007 GT with or without a GT500 front fascia conversion? I’ve almost got the money to do my GT500 front fascia conversion, and I absolutely love the new hood and want to know if it will fit on my car.

 

I have to admit, I do like the 2010 hood. It would be great if it could go on our old (05-09) Stangs.

 

if the ford version wont fit, I feel like there will be a knockoff made by someone else

This company is typically known for it's aftermarket import body kits, but this is their mustang kit and it has a hood similar to the new power dome and a unique front bumper. It's not exactly for me, but figured I'd pass it along as it seems close to what you're looking for. I'm not thinking that the new hood is going to fit the current body style as the grille is much thinner. Pretty sure the body lines of the front fenders are different as well. However, at the 2010 Mustang Reveal that I saw a Ford rep said that the entire middle section of the car is the same as the current Mustang so you could buy the fender and hood and front bumper to use that hood. Seems like a lot of work for a hood.

 

The power dome looks great, just like the power dome on the 2008 BMW M3.
