2008 Redesign
We know that 2008 will give us a 'facelift' of sorts to the S197. I was wondering what you the 05 drivers would like to see changed and what we, the potential 08+ buyers would like to see done to the S197 body.
A nice set of hips! That's one thing I think would be a great addition to the looks of the stang. If you notice, the line on the side profile goes straight from the from to the back:

I think it'd be nice to see it with some hips like these:

It should just get meaner, just like the change in 67.
• Slightly larger grill
• more slant to the headlight area (like the GT500)
• Hips would rock!
• Slimmer tail lights or maybe concept looking tail lights
• Factory ducktail
• Massage the "hockey stick" area. Don't change it much, but mix it up and make it "sharper" or "edgier". Maybe make it a true "C" like the classics instead of the "L".

Honestly though, my biggest concern is that they will change the body style too much  I think, stylewise, they got the '05 just about perfect. Sure, a few minor enhancements and changes might be nice, but I hope they don't try to modernize the look too much.
Then again, I doubt Ford would be stupid enough to move away from such a hugely sucessfull product, but it will be just a matter of time when "retro" gets "old" to the car buying public and they need to try something different to generate interest. I would say 2008 redesign is still retro but the next design after that changes drastically.

If they were smart, they'd design the next Mustang to be a completely different (read: non-retro) style.
As for the mid-life facelift, I'd like to see:
- different engine options
- decontented GT in old LX guise
- more aggressive hood/grille design
- more differentiation between V6 and V8 models
- smoother contours, less "new-edge" look
- built in lip on rear end
- MORE CHROME!!!

Excellant start!
Could you define the C-pillers more and add some "hips"? I like the hood, a tribute to the 69 Shelby's I do believe.
Excellant start!

SEXY, I like it!!!!
