I've been playing around with some hips too. They look good on the new Charger and would look great on a Mustang. Maybe someone will come out with something aftermarket.

Many already said before by others but:

-Hips
-"C" vs "L" side indentions.
-Give it a factory ductail
-Make the inner edge of the tail lights more vertical so that they go with the -LeMans stripes (parallel to them)
-Move the fog lights out towards the edge of the grill
-slant the supports between the lights and fogs (like on the concept and GT500)
-Add a 69-70 style hood (center ridge) like Fang has.
- Make flat black hoods an option again
-Bring back the grabber colors
-"Black out the bottom like on the GT-500
- Make LeMans stripes a factory option

My vision (previous Photoshop contest):

I personally want to get away (a little) from the old car clones. That has been done before -- I don't want my new car to look like an old clunker.

I'm a former owner of a much beloved '67 Mustang, but I'm going to go against the general grain here and oppose adding more retro type things like "hips".

My own personal opinion is that in general Ford hit almost the perfect mix of modern styling with a retro heart already. As much as I love the classics, I don't want to see the new cars start duplicating them in detail, also as long as the new cars continue to sell strongly, I doubt that they're going to make huge changes on the next facelift.

You'll probably see hoodscoops and sidescoops on the current platform, say around 06 as an 07...
Just a hunch

In addition, bumpers, hoods, and grills but I doubt the body would change. The new V6 grill with fog lamps is just the start.

I like the idea of dual hood scoops, but understated like the concept car. Thats the main thing I wish they would have kept from the beginning.

Where does the word on an O8 face lift come from? Ford said the present body would run thru O9 before any changes would appear in 2010.

Personally I think there should be an improvement and some fascia and minor body changes by O8 or O9 just to keep things fresh for any future competition.

At the home page is a link to a Motor Trend article about the Bullit coming back in 2008 with the Mustang's new 'facelift'.

well, they can easily add scoops by making new stamps for hoods, and also making stick-on side scoops
he is probably right, there will be many changes before 08, just like the changes from 99-04

The 2010 info is talking about a new body style... 2008 would be a mid-cycle refresh.

Typically it would have the "easier" exterior-type mods: hood/side scoops, new wheel choices, modified front/rear fascias.

Typically the interiors get a more thorough refresh - by that time, Ford will likely have new corporate radios as well (with AUX interfaces I'm sure) which would be integrated as well.

In terms of powertrain, I'm sure they'd do something small to bump HP by 10-20 across the board.

Ouch, I hope not...
The 94-04 mustangs had the same interior...with exception of stereo upgrades and the clock removed and added to the stereo...
Got old...quick
