2005-09 Rear Diffuser
I know this topic has been posted about before but can anyone recommend a good rear diffuser for the 05-09 S197's? I love the way the GT500 rear bumper looks but I can't justify the high price tag plus painting it. Just wondering if there is any stand alone product. Thanks
Here's a link to pictures of some, I've got the one in the first picture. Click on the pictures and it'll allow you to go to the different web sites for them.

The GT500 bumper is really the only way to go. All the alternatives just look tacky and stuck on. I've been trying to get one for a while, but I just can't bring myself to pay full price.
My usual dealer quoted me almost $500 before paint, while another nearby dealer was $350 before paint. So make sure you shop around. Depending on where you're located, there's a guy on this forum selling one for $200 but it's local pick up only. I think he was in California.

I wanted that bumper for a while already, but for me it was a bit expensive to,And one day a couple of guys come in my store and they ask for my mustang and I thought probably fans or something and they offered me a Gt500 rear bumper for 200bucks ,my friend painted it so he charged me 80 bucks for the paint
Yeah the only thing stopping me from buying it is the price, just so expensive. I keep checking forums and local junkyards hoping one will show up. I'm just gonna go ahead and be patient I guess. Hopefully I can get one before summer.
Too expensive? Not if you go to the dealer. The dealer sells the rear bumper for a list of $355. List price. If you ask the dealers, some come down as far as 280 something. Tasca gets it down there, so does SilverState Ford and many others. Why give AM or CJ what they want ($400 to $429), when you can buy the same thing they are selling (same part number they purchase from Ford) for less from FORD? The part number for the rear bumper is 6R3Z-6320049-BA, and the front is 6R3Z-6320049-AA. It is just over 300 from the dealer with a discount. I believe I paid $314 in Alaska. You just can't go wrong with the CS/GT front and rear fascia's. They really help the cars look that much better, in my opinion. Good luck with your project.

Supposed to be for air flow, but it's really just for looks.
The MRT one looks ok in black, but I don't think it'll look that good in other colors. It also only fits on GT rear bumpers.
