2 part opinions needed for mods.

Ok I need some opinions. I know ,opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one and they all stink. But to reword, I need input. I have an 07 gt vert in stain silver. I currently have 8" stripes. Now with all the crap I am going through with my spoilers and such. The guy is going to remove and install any stripes I want. My question for part 1 is, should I keep the 8" with 3/8th pins or go with 10 or 12 inch without pins and what color. keep black or go with mettallic gray or silver.

Part 2. I have a set of foose nitrous 20" wheels. Should I lower the car using my eibach pro kit or not? I have time since the weather here in NY has gone from snowy to where I was wearing just a t shirt last night. If I chose not to, I will have a pro kit and also a set of black bullitts with a chrome lip in 18" for sale.

Thanks. I know you guys/gals won't mislead me.

On another note. I have to make sure my stang looks better than my Forman's black vert with gold stripes. He is a cool dude. But I just like breaking his chops, he is also a member here, that is how I got here. Thanks again guys, and I will see you Monday Sally stang owner. (********)<----inside work joke.

I've always thought the S197s need 10" stripes, minimum. Anything less looks too, I dunno, wimpy - for lack of a better word - compared to the aggressive look of the car. Just my .02.

If it were me i would go with ten inch stripes but keep a thin pinstripe. An as far as the pro kit, i would lower it. I think S197s lowered on 20s look SICK!

The pro's still keep the back end looking high compared to some kits. You might also look at a set of coilovers. I'm thinking of going with the first kit if they'll sell them without springs (I already have pro's).

I agree with the stripes being at least 10" wide. Either go with the 10" with the pinstripe or you can go to the 12" with no pinstripe like i did.

I have the 10" lemans stripes with 1/4" pinstripe on the outside. I love the look. agree that the 8" stripes look a little too small

OK. You sold me. Gonna start looking into what color now. I saw a site that showed what they looked like on the car but I can't find it. This is gonna be fun now. Slowly the car is coming together, or half way to falling apart. Thanks

Stain Silver? Is that a new color? he he.

The wider stripes look SOOO MUCH better - more agressive. I have 11" painted myself with 1/4" pinstripe on the outside. The 8" are just too small.

stain silver must have been tired. The car is dirty so I guess it is Stain silver. Rebel sweet ride. I think I will keep the vinyl just in case I want to change colors later in life. But I will go wider.

I just ordered my new stripes. 10" with 1/4" pins spaced at 2" in gloss black. Tommorrow I start taking off the old ones, (should be fun). Now if I can find a garage, i don't have to do all the other goodies in the freezing *** cold. I hate the winter.

cool...good luck with the install! the hood and roof and deck lid aren't too bad, but those bumpers are killer....take your time and use a heat gun or blow dryer, and plenty of soap/alcohol solution...

I installed my first set and it took me all day but came out perfect. Now I have to figure out if I want to keep my xennon side scoops which are already mounted, or change them to the gt/cs side scoops. I am leaning toward the gt/cs.
