Hood pin placement would be a matter of preference imo.

I just think they should be out on the hood instead of inside, most people who put them inside paint that 8" strip on both sides the color ofthe car, and to me, that just looks horrible. its like they are trying to make the fenders have more body like the older style, and thats not what these cars are, they are just modeled after them. So I made it the way I thaught they should be, beings noone else has them thisway. - Roger

1) What's a wip?

2) I've seen a few others put the pins there. I guess on the upper tie bar that there's already some good holes there.

3) Great first post!

fenders are cool but i persoanllay like the hood pins if your gonna run them on the inside on this car..but IMO if you are gonna run something like that you should use twist locks. They just look cleaner to me anyway
But great work on those fenders!

I think the pins are a minor point. Put 'em where you can or prefer. Those fenders are awesome! Can't wait to see them done! Great job, but more info is welcome, i.e. how you did it.

Thanks yall. Yesi ts work in progress. I had to mod my fenders before i paint my body kit and glue it all on. ( side skirts) so im getting these out ofthe way first. I have the body kit in sealer ready to be wetsanded. And i didnt want the twist locks, i like the lanyards. Makes it look like the older mustangs. Im kinda goin for old-modified look for the car. The wheelsi nthe background are Fr500 rims, chrome 17x9. I baught them for my car, but i gave them to my dad to put on our 70 mustang fastback which i am resto-modding. - 390 strokked to a 431, 720HP, 3" drop, 4 wheel disc brakes, power seats, locks , windows, motor is 70 corvette yellow, body will be painted same. Made it full frame, rhino lined the udnerside ( i do it myself, i baught all the equipment) 3.5" exhaust with cut outs. cusyom 9" with a spool, 391 gears, custom made tko600 5 speed trans. digital phantom guages. all emblems are being deleted and will be painted on in ghost pearl.

anyway back to my car. Im gettin those rims again, i told dad he could have them if he baught me the same ones in 18x10.5 so thats our deal, i just gotta get tires. - Roger

well, i saw the Gt-R and was like "darn", lol and then i noticed that it has 4" fender lips, so i made my own version. I cut out 3 pcs of metal, cut out the angles iwanted, and welded them together. i skim filled over the panels to make sure they are perfect, then i primed them. well one actually, i havent finished the 2nd one yet. Oh yeah, i stripped the fenders down with chemical stripper to have no excess paint build up. - Roger

and as far as future plans, i wanna make my own style of ducktail spoiler, flat black it out, get my 18's, drop it about an inch, HD sway bars, mounts, custom 9" with 31 splines so i can keep the abs, ned panhard bars, reinforcements, LCas and the 3'd link and then swap in a 4.6 from a GT. then ill be done for a while...lol

Very nice. Are you going to put a black wire mesh or something behind the opening so people aren't looking directly at your front tires?

Fenders look cool but why in the world are you going to swap a 4.6 from a GT? It would have been cheaper for you to buy the GT in the first place.
