19 inch vs 18 inch wheels

I would like 19 inch wheels and I currently have 18 inch. Am I nuts or what?
Would the ride suffer big time?

I don't think you will notice a difference. I have 19's and they ride fine. But look at pricing for performance tires in 19 inch. Tons of tires in 18inch and 20 inch but that many in 19, and very pricey

+1

19's will be just fine. 19's look the best on these cars, they are the perfect sized wheel for this car. I wanted to go w/ 19's, but at the time nobody was making a 19" Bullitt style wheel, and tires were a lot more money than the 20's that I ended up going with.

19" look best. The 2010 will have 19" option on the GT, so I am assuming a tire will be readily available. Hopefully the price will be comparable to the KDWS 18" tires. They were dirt cheap when the 2005 came out.

19" Premium Painted Luster
Nickel Aluminum Wheel (64V)
Optional on GT Premium
(400A/401A)

Looks kinda like a 5 spoke "PJ" wheel.

+1 on having more competitively priced 19in tires when the '10s come out!

I am considering holding out for a while on wheels to see what will be available when the '10 products start hitting the streets... but still liking the CS69s!

20" Looks best on these cars as long as you get enough sidewall on them.

i like 18's for this car, im all about the hefty looking sidewall. i rather have alot of rubber than low pro's

i dont think you can fit as much rubber with a 19, can you?

im going to attemp a 305/40/18 out back, i dont think i would be able to do a similar setup if i switched to 19's.

thats tough, cause most of the people with 20's on these cars are already lowered and i hate cars with low profile tires!! nothing bugs me more when i hear someone say that this car looks hot or that car looks looks blah!

I'm running 275/35/19 in the front and 275/40/19 rears. I hope with the 2010 having 19's we will see a better selection of tires and cheaper prices!

I bought the wheels and now I need tires. I was thinking about these sizes. Back 275/40/19. Front 255/40/19. Is this a good pick? thanks.

I run the 255/40/19 in the front , but 285/35/19 in the rear for a little more contact surface ...
