So brad was nice enough to give me a bit of info on the availability of the 18" Bullitt style wheels that will be offered for later model 06's, but he says they will look very different than the 05' 17" Bullitts. When I asked him what the difference was, he said that the 18 inch Bullitts will look like the 2003-2004 Bullitt style wheels.

????

Ive been looking at some photos, and I just cant tell any difference.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me? What am I missing?

The spokes of the older gen appear to be more 3D than the current mustang. The change in design is likely due to the change in offset.

Cool! Thanx for the comapison pics. I never liked the 05 bullits, they looked to flat and 2-D. I really love the last gen ones though. I just hope some aftermarket makes some deep dish ones for the 06 cars soon.

The 05s spokes have a softer round feeling to them.
The pre-05 bullitts have a hard line through the center of each spoke, and its more of a pronounced look.

I do like them better, as they stick out more...but the 05s don't look back...they do look really good.

I want to get 18" Chrome bullits, but all this talk about the new 06 bullits is making my decision harder. When are they going to be released?

You may want to consider the American Racing T/T II's, which are nearly identical, and can be custom ordered to your offset/specs. You can get either the painted centers, or fully polished up to 20" tall, staggered 8" Fronts, 10" rears, whatever you want.
