Once you get 'em on, how is the view (i.e. blind spot)?

Thanks for the replies guys!! (And GAL!!)

I must say, they are far better then the pictures of the Orange car posted on the companys web site. They appeared to be very rounded and bulky when I first saw them, but nobody offered anything else I liked (remember, I ordered these 4 weeks ago) But seeing them in person, I think they are going to blend rather nicely once painted and mounted! They really look like they belong on the car.

As for blind spots?? I had my assistant hold them in place as I got in the drivers seat...although more resctrictive viewing, you still can see through the slits somewhat.

Yeah, now thats what I'm talkin about. 5 slits, reminds me of the Sting Ray Vets with the "gills". Anyway they look "open" to me (you can see thru them) right?? I was also wondering if they are stuck on with tape and they can't be removed then how do you clean the outside of your window. Also can water get trapped in the bottm part(are there any drain holes?) This could eventually cause rust. Just some thoughts, I really love the look and I am getting some but I was wondering about any related pproblems. Thanks

Even if water were to get trapped in the bottom, they would not be any where near the body as they seal up on the glass only. I believe I am going to try and mount them with small velcro strips so I can remove them to clean the windows. 3M double sided tape is what is supplied from the manufacturer.

I really don't think you want to use velcro.
Might fall off at high speeds. lol
Also, if you ever intend on leaving the car
alone, you might want to take them off and lock in car.
Easier to steal with velcro.

Thats my bigest fear getting a vert. some jealous ars that
has a sharp knife. Putting nice aftermarket stuff on your ride
makes other people jealous, so they look for an excuse to take what you have.

They look good, Mike. I believe the Velcro idea would work. The last boat I had, I installed all new canvas with Velcro and even in very rough weather and high seas, never had a problem losing anything. The theif is a different story though, many times if they can't steal something, they'll distroy it.

Thanks for the address Mike. I think they are good looking louvres. Too bad they don't come in with the car. I was thinking about your velcro attachment idea and thought about how easy it would be to take them off(for you as well as someone else) Maybe you should go with the 3M tape instead. Only problem how do you clean the outside of your window?? I am going to definitely get them, only concerned on cleaning the glass once they are attached. Thanks , Jerry

Yeah, I still haven't figured out how to clean the glass if I affix them with the 3M tape....I guess you don't!?

... Ive seen some louvers that opened from a hinge so you could clean the windows... they were rear louvers though...
