1/4 window louvers
The scoop style from CDC:

Or the Louver style from Street Scene:

I am liking the Street Scene ones myself.

I saw a set of the street scenes last week at my dealership, I had previously only seen the photo's of them and didn't think too much of them.....seeing them in person changed my mind, they look really good!

That scoop is in the wrong place of a front engine car IMO. I prefer the Street Scenes!

[/b][/quote]The problem is that the shelby has side scoops too. The quarter window scoop looks very out of place without the side scoop, IMHO. I like the louver style better. IT reminds me of the louvers on the 65 and 66 GT fastbacks. The 05 has a very similar roof line to those cars, so I think the louver is a good fit.

The scoop in that location is intended to look like the '68 Shelby GT-500:

Hmmmm....I hadn't considered that but you're right. Louvers aren't my kind of thing so I'd problably leave it like it is (but that's just me).
Although, I like louvers better, I really don't like the street scene louvers, too rounded. Prefer a more angular louver better. So in the CDC scoop v StreetScene louvers, to me I'd go with the CDC scoop.
Front engine car got nothing to do with it. The parts are intended to imitate the louvers of the '65-'68 Mustangs or the scoops of the '67-'68 Shelbys, all of which were for interior ventilation, not engine cooling. The Shelbys were probably imitating the GT40 MkIIs which had upper and lower side scoops that DID cool a rear engine, however. Few cars were as cool, but I agree with others that the clean lines of the '05 are a shame to mess with, and who needs a blind spot? If you need nostalgia, think '66 Shelby!

Concur.
While some may think they look cool, I think the loss of visibility would outweigh this.
Just my opinion
