06 GT convertible, new stripes, 19" 2010 GT rims

A while back I posted some before shots of my essentially stock 2006 GT convertible (https://themustangsource.com/f637/06...e-pics-487307/)

I've done a few upgrades to it:
  • 19" 2010 GT rims, Pirelli PZero tires
  • gold dual LeMans stripes
  • blackout trunk
  • blackout taillight trim
  • chaser sequential turn signals
  • GT500 rear spoiler
  • 1968 GT badges (sides, rear)
  • removed styling bar

Took the car back to the same location for some after photos. And here they are for all your viewing pleasure.

Thanks guys. The stripes I got were from StangMods.com. They were one of the few places that had the color I wanted and the style that I wanted (dual lemans with the pin stripes). They have a variety of options.

But, the kit wasn't the best kit to install. I've installed stripes in the past from Graphic Express, and their kits were very well detailed and labeled when it comes to instructions. The Stang Mods kit left alot to be desired. It took a lot of head scratching and frustrations before I was finally able to figure out what pieces went where (especially on the front bumper). And i'm not sure I even got them in the right place.

I am still looking for a good place to buy stripes. Unfortunately, Graphics Express does not have 10 inch LeMans stripes. Still looking for a good vendor.......I have contacted the Decal Shoppe and they are suppose to be sending me some samples to look at......still waiting.

Very nice. How much caliper clearance is there in the front. Think they would fit over stop techs?

Those wheels and stripes really look great on the 06 convertible. Have you thought about adding a rocker panel stripe as well?

Either way, looks great!

I got them from a place called SoCalWheels.com They are located in Anaheim, CA. They get a lot of their take off Mustang rims from cars that are headed over to SMS. The guy said they mostly get the base 17" or 18" rims, but occassionally some are the 19" premium rims. I am assuming that they have the TPMS sensors still attached to the rim, as the outside of the rim has a significant number of wheel weights on one side of the rim.

Thanks. No rocker stripe for now. And leaving the stripes off the rear bumper was deliberate.

I got them from Maryland Mustang. http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....Z5Z5Z50001017a

In order to make them work, you will need to remove the rear mounting pins and then flatten them out. They are metal. I heated mine in the oven to where the material started to become pliable, and then flattened them out a tiny bit. I repeated the process about 6 or 7 times until the emblem became mostly flat, going very slowly.
