it's not the size that matters...

It's for a 1968 Stang. Just slightly smaller than current emblems and made of metal (not that cheap plastic crap). Here's how:

It may look small because it is such a large grill area. I almost used a Fox body emblem. That was way too small.

I think it looks great.

Ray Man, car looks great man and welcome to the club!!!!! Only thing that I have to add is I think you should off set the pony. With it in the middle like that it almost looks like a V6 car, I had to do a double to see that it had the Shelby front end. Just my .02.

Take care man
Jesse

Thanks Jesse,

Hmmmm... a V6 Shelby. Oh well, it made you think huh.

That's my style. I feel that if I off set the emblem that it would make me look like any other Shelby, I designed it after my '67.

Thanks for the feedback tho!

Drop an e-mail to KC... he can get you the prices on front and rear bumper covers.

I suspect you're gonna find that you won't be able to find a source to get them pre-painted. Pre-painting has a few challenges associated with it. First its not all that easy to color match, especially if you happen to get a metallic color. Second is that it'll be challenging to get the painted bumper covers shopped to you without incurring damage to the paint. When I got mine they were simply wrapped in a blue mat.

Does that help?

The Front and Rear GT/CS Conversions are pretty Much a Thing of the Past for me now due to Ford Creative Pricing. The Shelby Front Kits are Still Doable. My Hotsheets List the Details.

Hi everyone.

I will be doing a GT500 front end and a GT-CS/GT500 rear end swap on my v6 Mustang. I know that no one here can give me an exact estimate on labor costs but if anyone could tell me how much they paid to have the conversion done on their car, I really would appreciate it. I am going to have it done through my local Ford dealer as they are the only bodyshop/repair center I trust at the moment. I just want a general idea of what others paid (especially the v6'ers like me whose cars didn't come with any foglamps) so I know what to expect in general going in when I drop off my car to have them do the work.

If you don't want to list exact figures, a nice round estimate would still be helpful.

I've been converted (and almost caused an accident today, lol) and easily the best appearence mod I will probably ever do. Big thanks to KC on this, even when my dealer didn't seem to know what the pigtails were, he was willing to talk them throw what they needed to do to install the foglights.

Dual exhaust is on order (as are 18" mach 1 replicas) and hope to have those here next week.

Help!!!

OK, so I bought the GT/CS front fascia and asked the dealer to paint the lower portion body colored, a la the Shelby GT.

I get the call today from my salesman saying that the body guys could not paint the lower portion due to the texture, they even called ford and asked and were told not to paint it because it will not work and the paint will come off, etc. Supposedly, my salesman is even saying that he thinks it is a different part than on the shelby b/c the shelby is painted and this one cannot be painted. I think the salesman is wrong about this, but what do I do now...

WTF

Is this legit, has anyone else had the bar painted similar to the Shelby, and if so, how???

Shelby does, why can't my dealer's body shop, i am not buying that it is a different part when it is just an upfitter package??????

Our Black Car has the Grained Bumper it is not body color. I have seen the White cars which Appear to have a body color Lower section. But I am unsure if the PRODUCTION white Cars are Body Color. Anyhow The Bumper has to be made of one Material with the Graining pressed in. I would assume with some careful sanding it could be made smooth.BTMO! Does Anybody have a Good Production white Fascia Pic fron a Shelby Gt? Inquiring Minds want to Know!BTW I realize we have a lot of{ Release Pics} in The Shelby GT Section But I am Looking for Pic of an Owned or Car at a lot in white.
