Question 01-04 wheels on a 2005???

Can someone please tell me if a set of deep dish 01-04 bullitts will fit okay on a 2005 Mustang??

I've just purchased a used set.......the fronts are 18x9's and the rears are 18x10's. I tried both the 18x9 and the 18x10 on the rear and they fit on there okay and did not rub anywhere (cleared the caliper and suspension parts), but I'm not sure if its safe or if the wheels are just not meant to be run on the 2005-09's??? The 18x9's seemed to be a better fit tucked up in the fender, however, the 18x10's did extend out past the fender about an inch!!

HELP??????

PS: Anybody running this setup and have pics???? Post please!!

Not 100% positive, but this is what I believe they are:

18x9, backspace = 6.0", offset = 24mm

18x10, backspace = 6.38", offset = 22mm

Both wheels spun just fine and did not rub anywhere when I tired them on last weekend......in fact there was a ton of room betwwen the calipers and the wheel bullitt spoke.

I know that if you put 05 rims on the 94-04 cars that it requires a spacer so I I'm not sure how you would make up for that offset going the other way

The average offset of the newer mustangs is about 40mm. I would think that a rim with that offset would be tucked into the fender wells and would not look good? you said its sticking out??Yes, you can spacer the wheels but I would be more concerned with the tall factory tire binding on you. It may be fine in a neighborhood cruise but if you make a hard turn, just right... Well you know the rest.

01-04 wheels will stick out compared to 05-09 wheels.

Find out what the overall height is of the tires you have now and compare it to that size. There are some online tire calculators that work pretty good. You probably don't want to go with a shorter tire than what you have now.

I know the shelby razor wheels that will clear big brakes are 24mm. So I think it's normal for them to stick out instead of tuck in. Idk much else

going to make your look skate boarded.the offset should make your wheels stick out. tried my o8 gt wheels and tires on a friends 2002 gt and they tucked in, but cleared turning lock to lock but because of the height they brought in a code. always heard if you go over or under an inch obd2 brings in a code.

I run 18x8.5 24mm fronts and 18x10 20mm on the rears. When running low offset wheels on the 05+ it's important to match the tires.
I have 245's front and 275's they're both 26.6 tall.

What's the size of the tires that you have on there now?

I have 235/50/18's all around now on 18x8.5 bullitts, but I want to use the 235/50/18's on the front but change the wheels to 18x9's

Then I plan to run the 275/40/18's on the rear with the 18x10's

Will it work????

Most 235's tires have a section width of 9.0-9.3". So yes, the fronts tires are OK and can be swapped from the 8.5 to 9" wheel. You'll have a minor stretch or they will be square depending on the tire. More than likely they will be squared with the wheel. keep in mind these tires are 27.3" tall

275's tires have a section width of 10.5-10.8". These tires will have slight bulge on the wheel but pretty close to being squared. These tires are also 26.7" tall meaning that the wheel gap will be a bit more apparent because of the shorter tire out back. The difference in diameter is 0.7".
Can you run this combo? Yes, if you don't mind the increased wheel gap out back. Will they Stick out in the back? Very minor depending on the tire brand you pick up. but Yes they will stick out.

The other choice is a 255/45/18 for the back. These tires are 27" tall and match closer to the fronts height, the section width is 10" and will fit the wheel perfect and they should also tuck in under the rear fenders pretty good.

You'll be O.K but the back tires will still be shorter than the fronts with 235's and 275's.
Not sure what nitto 855's are, A/S are all weather tires, not sure if you need that unless you drive your car in the snow.
