I'm sorry, I just can't stand the Yankees. I don't like any team that constantly has to "buy" their team. Feels sorry for the little market teams like my Reds who can't afford to pay all those high salaries! Plus NY, Boston etc. get WAY too much media time also!

 

No need to apologize, I'm used to it. Especially living in a state with majority Braves fans (we used to have their triple A team).

I think the time of buying a team is over for the Yanks. They will always offer deserving players big salaries (Joey Votto got a big one from the Reds iirc) but as far as spending insane amounts of money in the offseason, that time is over.

And besides, there's plenty of small market teams that do great. Look at the A's, leading or in the top five in every offensive category and with a team of virtual unknowns. Tampa Bay is another good example. Its about building a farm system. That's one thing I've noticed the Yankees doing more and more. They won't trade their big name prospects.

 

I kinda feel bad for the Padres. When they play the Giants in their own stadium, they get treated like the visiting team. #SFGIANTS
