What a coward
Unless your trade happens to be reading minds or fortune telling you know not what I've seen, you assume.
Lebron is not perfect, who is, and he does have an ego. That is not news for being special, unique, and being idolized most of his life but along with a few imperfections overall he is a good human being and has done more charity in his young life, when he didn't have to, than a bunch of us put together in our entire lives.

You know how I hate to be disagreeable with you friend... but are you sure about that?
(Mark 12:41-44) . . .And he sat down with the treasury chests in view and began observing how the crowd was dropping money into the treasury chests; and many rich people were dropping in many coins. 42 Now a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins, which have very little value. 43 So he called his disciples to him and said to them: "Truly I say to YOU that this poor widow dropped in more than all those dropping money into the treasury chests; 44 for they all dropped in out of their surplus, but she, out of her want, dropped in all of what she had, her whole living."
Let's see if I can explain this...
I didn't mean that a Miami championship would be tainted.
I've nothing against Miami. They spent the money to maybe build a championship team. (Cleveland could have and should have done the same thing over the last (7) years.
I'm old school, and I believe in team loyalty. All of my heroes stayed with their teams through good times and bad. I feel like LeBron could carry his team (through good times and bad). However, he left his team to chase a championship. So I feel like any championship he wins playing on someone else's team (D. Wade's Heat) is not really LeBron's. And thus, tainted.
Weird thing is, if he'd left for more money, I'd be fine with it.

He left after the last playoff game IMO. His contract was was honored and complete. Anything after that game was all hype. He owed the Cavs nothing after that.
As for the way he excepted a new team, no I didn't like the ESPN deal. He could have come out as everyong expected before the end of the seson and said D. Wade, Bosh and I will play for the same team. Then gave the possibilities as far as which teams were in the running.
As for the record at the end of the season, it doesn't matter. Boston rested those old legs for most of it.

Well, I'm finally getting over this but it's still weird to see LBJ in a Heat jersey.
The 'tainted' part that someone mentioned... Winning in Cleveland would be HIS championship. Winning in Miami will be the TEAM's championship. An argument could even exist that his move to South Beach even shows more to his character that he's willing to give up 'his' championship for a team championship, but I don't buy it. He just wants the ring, and IMO he's taking a sort of short-cut to get it.
In Cleveland he had to make his teammates play better and elevate their game to win. They've all got a lot of talent, but LBJ would need not only to be the superstar, but also the leader to get it done. That's greatness. Instead he's going for a championship w/ two other superstars to help him get it done (not only the winning, but getting others to elevate their game).
This is why LBJ's legacy will now be tainted. He's not leading the team on his own. He's traded in his role as Michael Jordan for a shared role as Scottie Pippen.
This puts an end to the MeBron vs Kobe debates.
... lol, I hit the "M" on accident, but I'm leaving it because "MeBron" actually fits pretty well.
Hey, whatever makes him happy... but I'm pretty sure that as he continues to mature he'll regret this 'Decision'.

As an Ohioian and a Cavs fan I can tell you it's not that he left that's got everyone pissed off so much. It's how he went about the whole thing stringing everyone along and having the whole big tv specail to destroy us. A lot swirling around out here that this was set into motion months ago. So if he knew he was gonna leave he could have just told the Cavs so they could prepare. No he had to get all that spotlight to feed his big ego.
I mean we were all prepared for him to leave. After getting beat by Boston(and yes he did look like he gave up in that series and Cleveland stuck behind him, let's see Miami fans do that!!!) it seemed everyone was getting ready for it.
I'm a year older the LeBron and followed him through high school and thought even if he does leave I'd still like him and wish him well, but I can't do it right now or possibly even. I'm not running out to burn my 4 jersey's I have of his, but they have been folded up and hidden in the closet of the 3rd bedroom of my house so I don't have to see them!

From his Airness . . .

Things are different and I wish the best for James but I think it would have "looked" better if all three would have went to a new team, i.e., Knicks, Clippers, etc. Then it wouldn't be Dwayne's Team, etc.
Should make for an interesting season. . . .
"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team,'" Jordan said after playing in a celebrity golf tournament in Nevada. "But that's ... things are different. I can't say that's a bad thing. It's an opportunity these kids have today. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys."

I wonder if his Airness would have stayed with the Bulls had there been no Cartwright, Paxton, Grant, or Pippen?
Magic, Jordan, and Bird were not friends until the twilight of their careers unlike Wade, LeBron, and Bosh. Besides, the difference in the two groups is their egos.

I love the argument regarding Pippen being a Top 50 NBA Player of all time playing with Jordan. It is a good argument in relation to the players LeBron had with Cleveland, except Pippen wasn't a top 50 NBA player when he was drafted. He matured into a great player. (Rodman was perhaps the best jewel given to the Bulls during their second title run.)
At the end of the day it is just basketball and the upcoming season will be more entertaining given the events that has transpired this off-season. I wish nothing but the best for LeBron playing on Dwyane's team next season!
As well as their skill levels . . . . .

People act like LeBron's teammates were trash. Definitely not the case. He had just as much talent around him as Jordan. The difference is Jordan REFUSED to lose (be it because of ego, detemination, etc.) so he elevated the cast around him.
And since they eventually were successfull now we think of his supporting cast as being so great. But think about it. Did Pippen, Cucoc, Kerr, or anybody have the same kind of success without Jordan? No. They were still decent players but not really any better than what Lebron had in Cleveland.
Like I said before they won 66 games and they even tanked the last couple games to rest LeBron. Best record in the league the last two years in a row. The team he left was a not a scrub by any means.

Bulls without Jordan still made playoff both years when Jordan was out. And I believe they made to the least 2nd round of playoffs in each of both seasons.
Even if Cavaliers make playoffs in 2010/2011 season, they'll be out in the first round.

And thanks John for chiming in about what Magic said. Its gotta suck for him to see the legends lose respect for him. From this point on LeBron will never be known as "The Guy" win or lose. DWade is the real winner in this situation lol
does anyone think he may have gotten paid for the big stall or the big show?? Just a thought!
here x million to come play with us and here's another 2 million if you help us make a big deal out of it.
