I really don't watch tennis anymore. I played on high school team in the late 80's when Agassi was coming up and Connors was still playing, kept up for years with Sampras, but now I just don;t watch it. I don't hate it at all, in fact I love playing, but with football and Nascar and life I don't have time to watch 4 hour match anymore.

It really sucks how fans reacted toward Djokovic, especially in the 4th set, but still it was an impressive win.

I hope Jankovic wins tomorrow.

NY tennis fans are freakin' brutal. No respect for anyone unless its one of their favorites.

Roddick was one acting like an a$$ last night during the interview. Everything that Djokovic said was the complete truth.

In Djokovic's prior match, a five-set ordeal Tuesday against No. 15 Tommy Robredo, the reigning Australian Open champion called for the trainer more than once as he dealt with hip, ankle, stomach and breathing issues.Asked then about Djokovic's problems, Roddick kidded around, checking whether the list shouldn't also include bird flu, anthrax, SARS and a common cold and said: "He's either quick to call a trainer or he's the most courageous guy of all time."
Roddick also said in an on-court interview that day: "I've got to feel good. He's got about 16 injuries right now."
After beating Roddick, ending the match with a 125 mph serve that drew a long return, Djokovic made reference to those comments.
"That's not nice anyhow to say in front of this crowd that I have 16 injuries and that I'm faking," Djokovic said during a postmatch interview that drew boos from the spectators in Arthur Ashe Stadium.
"They're already against me, because they think I'm faking everything," he said.

Didn't make him look any better though.

Acting like an a$$ makes you an a$$ also.

How exactly did Djokovic acted like an a$$? Reported asked him how come he played so poorly after first 2 sets and he said "Well, I have about 16 injuries right now." That's what fans think of him anyway.

I wanted so badly for Djokovic to beat Roddick simply because Roddick made fun of him yesterday and today. I don't care what's gonna happen next against Federer, I just wanted for Nole to win against Roddick.

I wasn't sure anyone was interested in it, so I never started a thread. I was actually up there on the 28th (the 1st Thursday) for day session matches. Got to see Andy Murray, Blake, and a few others. Its a great time to go there, and for a small price of the ticket (which is to get in to the grounds for Ashe Stadium, all other matches are free to enter), you see ALOT of great tennis. I've been going up there since '96, before the new stadium was even built. Even ran into Ille Nastasse one time back in '96, on a far out court (16 or somthing like that). Couldn't believe it.

I played in HS with my buddy who goes up each year with me. Its an annual thing to do. I enjoy being outside, and away from work for the day. I still like playing, just with his and my schedules, we never have the time anymore. I do however miss watching Agassi play. He's the one who got me into watching tennis (back in 1989 when he was wearing the Lava colored clothes), and then playing. Learned my topspin forhand from watching his matches when I was younger (this was back in the early 90s, whien I was in my early teens, I never had a lesson). I miss watching him and Pete duke it out.

About Roddick, he's been a disappointment so far in his career.

I used to wear a pair of acid washed Nike Agassi tennis shorts when I plyed in high school. My wife, who I went to high school with, liked them and my legs so much she asked me to come over and help her with her homework. The rest is history. So yes tennis can get you the ladies!

I too wore some of Agassi's apparel. Mostly the shirts and especially the shoes (they just retro'ed his lava Challenge Court IIs Got a pair and it makes you remember back when, lol). Never had the acid washed shorts. Wore the pants that were baggy, from the mid 90's era (his pirate-look days). You are right though. When your playing at a court, and there are girls playing there as well, its so easy to talk to them (I'm rather shy).

Since he stopped:

I lost my inspiration in Tennis.

Maybe when his daughter steps into his shoes, I watch Tennis again:
