Two of MLB's best square off in 3 game series

Ohtani vs Acuna Jr starting tonight in Atlanta. I've followed baseball my entire life (since the mid 1960's) and these two currently rank with the best of every Hall of Famer I have ever seen. Can they keep it going for an entire career? Amazing talents and really looking forward to this series.

I cannot imagine Ohtani keeping this up but I'm certainly not hating on him. They both are a step above and beyond. Go Angels!!!

I've never watched an entire professional baseball or football game. Not even the world series or super bowl.

You wouldn't be alone in that sentiment you either love it or hate/it bored with it. I've never watched an entire golfing tournament or a tennis match.

So did I.

I cried the day when the NY Yankees lost the 7th game of the World Series to the St Louis Cardinals in 1964, I followed baseball until a few years back. I never missed televised Yankees games on weekends when they were owned by CBS. I also loved their announcers, Pee Wee Reese and Dizzy Dean, they were lots of fun.

I broke diplomatic relations with baseball as well as other professional sports when the players decided and were allowed to disrespect our flag and the National Anthem but celebrated the BLM scam artists. I've had enough of scandals, mediocracy, and the overpaid illiterates who can barely speak, so I increased my attention to college sports were the inmates are not running the asylum.

All good things come to an end.

I actually used to watch and go to Fenway, Foxboro and Boston Gardens a lot when I was younger, then it was more about the money than the game so I quit watching when they started Striking. Football ended with the Kneeling during the National Anthem and Nascar ended with the new race format and their stupid Stage Racing.
Like George, the only savior is College so Go Vols.

Well, the match-up in this instance was rather anti-climatic with only Acuna having a big day in yesterday's matinee.

I still enjoy baseball and especially the NHL. The NBA is long gone in my life especially with their love for China and the BLM BS. I also stopped with the NFL with the kneeling as well. Nascar is a shell of what it used to be and I have tuned out. It's unfortunate.

Like Siber Express in the greater Boston area, as a young teen I used to take the subway and trolley with friends to see the Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox. It actually was safe to do so in the 1960's. No big deal at all. It all ended when the family moved to FL in 1970 when I was 16.. The superstation in Atlanta (Ted Turner) brought me baseball eventually and I've been a Braves fan ever since..

Hitchhike to the train station in Tewksbury from N. Billerica and catch the Sox play in Fenway all summer long. Catch the T back to Tewksbury and thumb home. This was back in the mid 70's.

I, like many others, also dumped First Take, PTI, and game telecasts 4 or 5 years ago which I assume have been a factor in loss of viewership and ESPN's demise, evident by their latest massive layoffs.

I also cancelled Fox News on the same day of the firing of Tucker Carlson. It was not difficult to kick ESPN off my normal routine but I do miss Tucker, I just I can't deal with inferior talents such as Jesse Waters with his frequent inferences of fictional characters of TV shows and movies being associated to daily life as if they are factual and relevant to realty. Same as Laura Ingram with the identical nonsense. And Hannaty's shows are like reruns of the previous show, day in and day out. They are conservatives and I root for them but I can't watch them.

So I have found other ways to fill the gap of sports and the news. One thing I can say is my levels of worry, concern, and related tensions have dropped quite a few notches.

WHAT A RANT!!!

One of my favorite Braves went to Billerica H.S. He starred in hockey as well as baseball. HOF member Tom Glavine.
