And in a big way.
Great hockey.... and lots of penalties to even out the dumb moves made by that team.

I like the new NHL for a lot of the open game being played.
Sucks if you like a lot of hitting or fights....

Well... clean hits are still good ... like the Brian Campbell hit on Umburger on Philly...what a hit!!!

Ahhhh sunuvafemale dog i left the sabres off that other poll too.

I cant believe the habs are up 2-0, especially when their ace in the hole Huet lets in 5 goals in a game.

I could do without the "fighting" (some of the fights were just two just standing each other up by the jersey)

Clean hits are way better imo (part of game and doesnt stop the action).

It's kinda fun watching the playoffs without having a stake in it

What I love about the playoffs is much less fighting... the only time it really happens is when bad blood spills over. Its not the typical Tie Domi sideshow.

I'm also a neutral party, right now the biggest surprise to me is Montreal pushing Carolina around

Anybody see tampa and ottawa yesterday? Thats gonna be an awesome series. Chara was one punch away from taking Lecavalier's head right off.

I'm enjoying the hockey this year even though I like fighting. I love it when two guys square off and throw punches back and forth. I was in Toronto this March and got to see Domi fight, you can't tell me its not fun to be in a building with that going on and 18,000 people screaming.

I like it...
but the goonage stuff takes away from the game.

I like that they are calling that crap.
Too bad a lot of teams have yet to adapt to not being morons

Chara at 6' 9" is a beast.
And he held back on vinni...haha
Shoulda hit him for being dumb!
They tangled back a while ago too, you think he woulda learned.
But in front of hometown crowd, he didn't want to back down... probably just thought in his head 'Of ALL the people on the ice...why did I get this brute!?!?!'

No doubt, after his Chara fight 2 years ago Lecavalier said it was the hardest that anyone had ever hit him. I was pretty curious as to why Vinny would throw the first punch against someone he knew would pound the h-e-double hockey sticks out of him.

Hey, I hear ya....

I'll tell you something though...the Flyers just look AWFUL. Someone made a comment to me that Buffalo lost the game tonight, more than the Flyers won it....unfortunately, I missed the game!!! (Darn work!)

I'll have to watch it on Video On Demand when I get home...or during the day tomorrow.

Out of all the teams that we could have played in the first round, Buffalo is the one team I didn't want to see. Their speed scares me the most...

Speed has been the main factor why most of the teams that are in the playoffs made it this far.

Yeah, being that they are calling every and all slight hooks as penalities, a lot of players aren't used that that, and taking uneeded penalties.

The game was really weird, buffalo looked to out play them, but Forsberg just capitalized on the chances....

Near the end of the game... with like a minute left, 4-3... buffalo is in the transition to pull Miller, turnover, Empty Net goal (5-3)
20 seconds left, Buffalo gets a penalty, and mike GRIER scores short handed.... 5-4
They tried pulling miller again, but couldn't score...
VERY odd ending.

I predicted it would got at least 5-6 games anyway

Is anyone else salivating at the thought of a Calgary/Edmonton second round?

I couldn't agree more. I can't wait until they get their act together. I went to a few games this season, and to my luck, they actually whopped up the last couple games I saw in person.
