Randy Moss will be traded to the Oakland Raiders for a 1st round and a veteran. Packer fans everywhere rejoice!

Just to add to this, the veteran player the Vikes are getting is linebacker Napoleon Harris. This will be a good upgrade at a severe needs position, if they can pick up someone like Mike Williams/Braylon Edwards at #7 this deal could really work out well for them.

As a Vikes fan, this was a terrible trade, they get a LB which won't even start unless they change to a 3-4 and now they have to hope for either Edwards and Williams to fall to #7. Terrible deal, although they have a good history of that, see the Herchel Walker trade.

I can see why you might feel that way, but I disagree, and I'll tell you why. Moss was in danger of becoming a locker room cancer IMHO, so on that front I think it might be a case of addition by subtraction. Plus, they traded him to the Raiders, so there's a fair shot he won't hurt them directly. Also, N. Harris is not a #4 linebacker in that defense, more likely a #2. As for Edwards and Williams, I think it's a pretty safe bet one of those two will fall to #7. That's my take, doesn't mean I'm right, just means that's my opinion.

Harris is a MLB, the Vikes current MLB is E.J. Henderson, I can't honestly say that one is better than the other. I would love to see them put both on the field and field a 3-4. I didn't say that Harris is a #4 LB on this team, each LB position is very different from another. I just don't see him being significantly better than their current MLB. There is a reason Oakland traded him, he has been underachieving since he entered the league. I hope they pick up Ty Law in free agency, thats where they need some help, they need a corner other than Winfield that can do something. They could use another D-lineman as well, they have a very young defense that should only get better.

I love the Walker trade! HUGE Cowboys fan by the way.

I have to agree with you though, I don't see how this trade will benefit the Vikings unless they get Williams.

You guys could be nice and give us one of those NFL Championships that you won because of that trade.

I say we call it even considering we passed up on Moss and let you guys have him.

But then again, I guess it didn't work out for you too well either
