Yah sad heard his interview as he said he knows how to retire as he did it twice before, but hey none the less there were a lotta great entertaining games that he played that gave us loads of joy, it has changed so much that its a youngers mans game now.

long rest the last great hockey player....there isn't one player today that I would put up to his caliber of on-ice and off-ice gentlemanship and all around team oriented ness (well okay maybe 2 or 3) but he's just got his own niche

Its amazing to consider the injuries he went through

I still vividly remember when he was diagnosed with hodgekin's disease, missed 20 games, and came back to where he left off.

That was one of my favorite Lemeiux accomplishments on the ice. He came back and after the disease and still won the scoring title

one of my favorite memories is when he came back and his number was lowered from the rafters. He and pittsburgh gave the leafs a beating that night.

Ha, my wife bought me tickets to that game. I was so excited. She bought tickets before we knew he was going to play that night. What a great surprise.

Hopefully, the Penguins will stay in Pittsburgh. It was bad enough when hockey wasn't around last year, I cant imagine them being gone for good. Stupid politicians.

If I was Lemieux I wouldn't let anyone buy them if they were from out of state.....only in-state buyers and in the contract it'd state that the penguins are never to be moved from Pittsburgh

I'm pretty sure as long as the slot machine deal goes through helping build an arena, the penguins will stay in Pittsburgh. Otherwise, Kansas City is interested in an NHL teams and Winnipeg has also been considering trying to get a team back since they lost the Jets to Pheonix.

I would rather see a team in the southern US get moved up north

Anaheim and Pheonix would be better off in Quebec and Winnepeg.. that would be awesome

That is if a decision is made before they decide to move. We have been hearing about the slots for a while, but nothing yet.
