I heard this at work minutes after the news broke. Still not really understanding why or what happened....
I know that I speak from inexperience, but.... I cannot fathom how much pain/suffering he must have been in to go to this extreme. On the one hand... I can't imagine why I would ever want to check out by my own hand in any way.
Then again, I can imagine why.
Man. Well, if he was suffering... he isn't anymore, and that's about the only good thing out of this there is.
RIP Junior, one of the best.
/"Ow." - Me and my dad whenever his name was said on the TV during NFL goings on...
//There'll be a few more this year, I'm sure, when NFL is back on the air.
///Won't be the same, now.

Just wondering why you think that he was thinking of his family when he decided to leave them.
The second thought is for his friends who are fellow football players. Check out this article for what I'm talking about.

Was it really a suicide or a mistake though I wonder? He's not the only guy to sustain concussions, and heavy hits in the history of football- these attributes they put on football players saying there's some sort of alignment that can cause suicidal tendencies in the brain isn't valid. Regular people who work desk jobs and never have one concussion probably have a higher suicide rate than concussion/injury prone athletes.
The amount of people who get shot and die accidentally cleaning/handaling their guns a year is ~600 according to centers of disease control. That and the fact most suicides they don't want to feel pain, and getting shot in the chest and bleeding out- has to be a miserable way to go...
And while half of America battles some form of depression- that's usually not the overwhelming cause why someone off's them self.
So I wonder...
RIP none the less. Good athlete and a great guy.
