Not quite. IMHO, Texas has two chances: slim and none.
Alabama is strong, balanced and disciplined. The defense is overwhelming. The offense, while not flashy, has a competent passing attack backed up by too many strong runners to count. To top it off, special teams do whatever it takes to win, whether it's returning a kick for six, or blocking field goals in clutch situations. RTR!

Texas 37, Alabama 26
If you care to look
Texas is tops or in the top 3 of both special teams blocks, and non-offensive touchdowns and have been for years. Much like Virginia Tech. Texas already played the toughest defense in the FBS in Nebraska, and won even though by all accounts the Texas offense played their worst game of the year and the Nebraska defense played their best game. While Alabama's offense is better. Thanks in some small part to a Texas born and bred quarterback, Texas shows up for its BCS games. I know Saban is a gamer, and will have his troops ready, and I have the utmost respect for the team, though I completely dislike Saban, both teams are probably gonna be surprised by the speed on the other side of the ball. Unfortunately Texas is a second half team and I just hope they don't get off to a bad start. With that said I would still think Texas will prevail in what will hopefully be a good game.
I'll call it 31-24.
The Texas secondary will own the Bama offense. And the Bama D will own the Texas O-line. If Texas can run at all they'll be fine. Special teams will come into play also as it always seems to in all levels of championship games.
Hook 'em Horns!

Alabama will likely win, just a feeling I have, but I'll not be watchin'. Haven't watched college football because of the non-playoff thing for many years now.
/BCS sucks. REAL men play in playoffs, like March Madness, College World Series and the like. Screw 'em.
